The annual CME program of the International Academy of Pathology-Indian Division (IAP-ID) for the year 2024 is being jointly organized by the Centre for Oncopathology (Supported by the Tata Trusts), Mumbai and the Department of Histopathology, SL Raheja Hospital (a Fortis Associate) Hospital, Mumbai. This one-and-a-half-day program is a Symposium on the Surgical Pathology of the Endometrium.
About the Symposium
This symposium will discuss the recent advances in our understanding of endometrial physiology and highlight the diagnostic challenges and pitfalls in endometrial pathology.
The faculty which includes, experienced pathologists, gynecologists, and clinical oncologists, will interact with delegates through lectures and case discussions.
Participants are encouraged to submit interesting or challenging cases for discussion which will be vetted by a panel.
Postgraduate students will be afforded the opportunity to display their posters and win podium presentations and prizes.

Who should attend?
It is said that familiarity breeds contempt, an adage that rings true for the endometrium, which is one of the most often encountered tissues in routine or specialty histopathology practice. This symposium sets out to address the common issues that pathologists in practice face and to offer postgraduates in training an insight into the endometrium as a target organ. Those interested in the molecular mechanisms involved in endometrial neoplasia and the role that pathologists play in the management of endometrial neoplasia will find answers to their questions. Colleagues who have experiences to share are welcome to present their cases. Postgraduates will have an opportunity to showcase their posters. Most of all, this symposium will be centered around patients and the management of endometrial pathology. Gynecologists, especially those in training would also find something to take home from this meeting.
