Who we are
To strengthen cancer care delivery in the short term, while the establishment of our full-fledged oncology facilities are underway, ACF is planning to start Day Care Centres at all L2 cancer centre locations in a phased manner. Since, these centres will provide day care services, to ensure comprehensive care, we have partnered with nearby medical colleges to get support for other services.
Currently, four Day Care Centres are operational – three in Assam at (i) Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh (ii) Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta (iii) Diphu Medical College and Hospital, Diphu and (iv) at SVICCAR (Sri Venkateswara Institute of Cancer Care and Advanced Research), Tirupati.
What we do
The Day Care Centres will provide OPD, day care chemotherapy and radiotherapy services. To provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, at Assam, all diagnostic and surgical oncology requirements will be in partnership with medical colleges within the same campus where L2 Centres are being set-up.. At Tirupati, while the main unit is underway, the centre has a tie-up with select hospitals for all other cancer care services.
Additionally, virtual patient helpdesks are set-up, complemented by an on-site patient navigator. These helpdesks provide patients and their caregivers the much needed information on patient pathway and various insurance schemes, besides assistance in filling out the required forms and connecting them to the required doctors and consultants.
