THE NURSING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

The Cancer Care Programme has established a unique Nursing Fellowship Programme (NFP), spanning 11 months, intending to
enhance the skills of Registered Nurses (RNs) to become proficient Oncology Specialist Nurses. This fellowship initiative
incorporates 144 hours of classroom training, complemented by 2,160 hours of clinical training, coupled with concurrent
                       assessments.

Currently, we are proud to have 194 nurses who have completed the NFP and are certified. These dedicated professionals are
actively contributing to various TCCF centres, delivering specialised oncology care to cancer patients. The NFP stands as a
testament to our commitment to continuous professional development and the provision of high-quality healthcare services.

                       NURSING IN ACTION

The initial cohort of nurses who joined the Cancer Care programme underwent valuable on-the-job training at renowned
institutions such as Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata, Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH)
in Jamshedpur, National Cancer Institute in Nagpur, Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute in Guwahati, and the State Cancer Institute
in Guwahati. As TCCF and ACCF hospitals are currently operational, our nurses continue to receive training at these esteemed
centres, further enhancing their skills and knowledge in the field of oncology.
